In the spirit of continual innovation, the 2S Wader is a tangible expression of our mission to construct gear that is Built Better. Re-engineered with performance in mind, the 2S Wader now delivers more waterproof protection by eliminating critical seams and decreasing contact points. As its namesake suggests, the 2S Wader features only two seams: a full-body-length seam running down the outside of the wader and a crotch seam. Enhanced rubber chemistry in the boot provides stronger, more durable construction and increased lifespan, all without an increase in weight or a decrease in insulation. We included the same 4-layer construction for a superior combination of waterproof and windproof protection, as well as breathability.

Waterproof / Breathable Nylon Oxford 4-Layer Fabric: Provides superior abrasion-resistance, tensile strength, and long-term durability over traditional polyester. Waterproof rating of 20,000mm and breathability rating of 12,000mm. Includes C6 DWR finish on face fabric and Agion® antimicrobial treatment for odor control.
Mechanically Bonded Seams: Stitch-less seams in critical leg areas below the belt create a weld of the fabric, delivering a complete waterproof seal. These seams are flat, flush, and nearly invisible, and are placed on the outside of the legs, away from areas of high friction and wear. Premium seam tape backing throughout the wader are reinforced with woven fibers for extra bonding strength and reduced fabric separation during moments of stress and submerged pressure.
Digital Printing Technique: Unlike traditional camouflage patterns that are applied to polyester through heat transfer, Chêne Gear waders digitally print camouflage patterns utilizing a cold process that does not damage the integrity of the nylon fibers. This material has the natural, soft appearance of cotton without the synthetic gloss common on polyester garments.
Waterproof YKK AQUASEAL® Front Zipper: Durable, size 10 zipper provides complete waterproof protection, and is built to withstand pressure for prolonged submersion in water. The front zipper is backed by neoprene to protect from unnecessary abrasion with the body.
Water-Resistant YKK Pocket Zippers: Durable, size 5 zippers on all pockets provide temporary water-resistance during falls and missteps. These pockets are not designed to be submerged in water for long periods of time.
Zippered Chest Pockets: Two vertical, zippered chest pockets with water-resistant YKK zippers provide both storage and protection for valuables like phones, wallets, keys, and snacks. Because the zippers are designed to be water-resistant only, these pockets are not designed to be submerged in water for long periods of time.
Zippered Hand Warmer Pockets: Two high hand warmer pockets are located behind the outer chest pockets. These are lined with a lofted fleece material to keep your hands warm and wick moisture away from your body. We increased the depth and angle of the pockets to create multiple zones, allowing for the storage of a few shotgun shells while still maintaining room to keep your hands high and dry above the shells.
Interior Storage Pockets with Magnetic Closures: Two interior pockets located on the chest provide additional storage via magnetic closures. These are an excellent location to drop less frequently used items like gloves and dog collar remotes. We opt for HotHands® in these interior pockets, as they remain dry and allow the heat to pass through to the front hand warmer pockets.
Adjustable Shoulder Straps: Constructed similarly to a 5-point harness used in rock climbing, these shoulder straps displace the weight of the wader from the top of your shoulders, distributing it evenly across your hips and core. The nylon octagonal webbing in the center of the back is double-stitched to the wader body. A neoprene shoulder yoke delivers enhanced comfort, while the multi-height adjustable nylon straps and metal slide buckle ensure a precise fit every time.
Belt: The belt is designed with rigid, textured nylon that allows the adjustable tri-glide to "bite", properly securing the belt in place. The belt also includes elastic stretch for enhanced flexibility and movement without sagging, and allows for additional layering as necessary.
Boots: The wader boots are constructed of 5mm neoprene with rubber overlaid on the foot and ankle with 1200g Thinsulate® insulation. The boots are comprised of a rubber, non-slip outer sole, an EVA midsole, and a removable inner sole - all working together to deliver superior comfort and durability.
Boot Covers with Vertical Drain Vent: The wader utilizes an additional cover over the neoprene upper of the boot that minimizes abrasion and puncturing of the highly sensitive, leak-prone area of many waders. The heel of the boot cover contains a vertical drain vent that allows water to quickly pass through as you lift your foot from the water, while an elastic base eliminates unnecessary drag from loose, excessive material.

Wader not worth the price.

"Fit was good. Zippers are horrible. Zipper broke on me with 2 pair already. Boot leak less than a year old . Hunting with a wet foot for 3 hrs not good . leak from top of boot glue came undone. Waders need knee pads bad ,breaking ice in them suck. IF not for the great customer service I would be very unhappy with the product for what I paid for them. Yall wanted a honest option yall got it!"

Outstanding waders. Worth every penny!

"My son has had these waders for 2 years and they have held up very well. I purchased the bag to carry them in as well making packing easy. He has owned two other pairs of waders and both leaked within a year. I would rate the performance of these as outstanding. "They are the most comfortable waders I’ve worn I sized up a size and done great for being able to layer for cold weather or to wear in hotter weather that we get in the south at the first of season but both ways be able to be flexible unlike most waders. Good. . not great.

"These are my first pair of zip style waders. So far, I love the ease of putting them on and taking them off. My complaints are the lack of D-Rings for carabiners and no shell holder. Both are things I knew the waders did not have when I purchased them, I just did not know it would bother me as much as it does. I use the exterior pockets to hold shells, but if it's not zipped it they will spill everywhere. Maybe if they were angled, that would help. Yes, I could add a clip on shell holder/ hand muff thing, but there are no D-rings to even hook it to. . . Also, the interior magnetic pockets are poorly placed. They fall almost exactly inline with the shoulder strap attachment, making it difficult to get things in and out. I've almost dropped my phone in the water several times trying to manipulate the magnet and strap one handed. Other than that. . . . I like them! fit and comfort are top notch. Waist belt has great elasticity in it. I used the fit guide provided and it was spot on!"

"Very Comfortable. The boots are the best I've ever worn on a wader and the shoulder straps are legit. Small clips wont get in thr way of shouldering a gun and the harness-style back of the straps makes it so kuch more better than traditionial. Noticeable difference in the material of nylon vs polyester and can tell it will be alot more durable. Seams are virtually invisible to the eye and to the skin."

Absolutely the best

"I am a duck hunting guide in south Texas. We are pretty hard on our waders and wear them more than most. I was really getting sick and tired of leaking and ripped waders. I decided to invest in a expensive wader with the thought process of if it last 10 years its better than buying a cheap 100$ pair every year. I bought these waders before season in 2023 and have used the hell out of them ever since. They fit great almost like regular clothes and are made like a tank. The boot is really good best I have ever worn. Took a lot of heat from the other guides for spending the money but I think I have the last laugh now. I had some issues with the boot seam coming up in a few spots and was a bit worried but called in and was shocked at the customer support. Took care of me fixed the boots really quick and got them back to me. Top two things that I look for in a company is customer support and quality in that order and Chene is impressive on both. I'm buying everything from them now. ."

Small clips wont get in the way of shouldering a gun and the harness-style back on the straps makes it so much more better than traditionial.
